This week's game didn't start well, with Broughton scoring in the first minute followed in the fourth minute by an unreachable goal from a chip off the halfway line. Despite this, Swifts weren't downhearted and continued to push forward. Captain James Winsom scored in the 12th minute, giving the team an extra boost. An accidental handball by James in the 17th minute meant a free kick to Broughton, which could well have ended in another goal, but James charged it down. Just as the boys were on a charge back up the field, the whistle went for half time.

The second half got off to a great start with James scoring another goal in the third minute. It was a hard fought half, both teams took some knocks. Swiftsplayed better and better throughout the game. Sadly, Patrick who'd defended strongly under pressure, unsuccessfully tried to stop a shot on goal, resulting in an own goal. Broughton were a good team, and Swifts couldn't get the equaliser in the remaining few minutes.

Everyone played bravely, George Coole got a ball in the face and Joe Sutton-Welch a leg injury, but both were back to playing quickly after. Callum Fereday had a good first run out for the Swifts, substituting for Joe whilst he was injured.

Man of the Match, deservedly, went to captain and goal scorer, James Winsom, who led by example, surging forward to attack and tracking back to defend throughout the game.
